Our Team
Dr. Jamie
Dr. Jamie enjoys the process of building a relationship with her patients based on trust and open communication. Starting with the patients' personal health goals and overall wellbeing, her discussions often revolve around topics beyond the teeth. Clinically, she enjoys the art and science of restoring health and function for her patients and takes a special interest in Biomimetic Restorative Dentistry (BRD) and Adhesive Dentistry. She continues to advance her skills and knowledge in dentistry by consistently taking continuing education each year well beyond the requirements to practice dentistry. She also enjoys mentoring dentists at the L.D. Pankey Institute, a cornerstone of the dental profession, and participates in multiple dental study clubs that focus on clinical, behavioral, and leadership skills. Dr. Jamie earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Washington in 1999 and Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the Oregon Health & Science University in 1991. Jamie believes that her background as a practicing dental hygienist prior to completing her doctorate degree has made her a more well-rounded clinician and person.

Bri,
Registered Dental Hygienist
Growing up in the Gig Harbor area, I love calling the Pacific Northwest my home, and working in my home town communities. While completing my degree in kinesiology from Western Washington University, I found my passion for dentistry. During the time, I underwent dental implant surgery with the University of Washington and was fortunate to intern with a local dentist. Both experiences were immensely intriguing, experiencing dentistry as a patient and providing care. My journey began! In 2015, I graduated dental hygiene school and my love for the profession continues to grow and expand. My most recent training, focusing on myofunctional therapy, will allow me to even further improve your oral and overall heath.
Dawn,
Registered Dental Hygienist
I’ve been a dental hygienist since 2003. I grew up in a small town in Iowa and moved to Washington to join my family living in the northwest. Teeth have always fascinated me. My love for dentistry started when I was a young kid with the most amazing and kind dentist growing up and I saw firsthand how he encouraged others to focus on preventative care. I went to school at Hawkeye Community College and graduated with honors and the Hu-friedy “Golden Scaler” Award. My professional goals are to continue to evolve prevention beyond the gums and teeth to the whole body and overall health. This is when Dr. Jamie came into my life and truly values this and aligns with my professional goals to help our patients to achieve their own goals. I have worked at Brooks Dental Studio since August 2021.
Julia,
Patient Care Coordinator
I was born and raised in Olympia, moving to Tacoma 3 years ago. I spent 13 years as a medical assistant in various clinical settings before deciding to shift paths. Learning and gaining knowledge about oral health and how it affects our overall health has expanded my knowledge in tying medical and oral health together.
Kayla,
Registered Dental Assistant
I was born and raised in Tacoma, WA, and have been working as a dental assistant since 2018. I earned associate degrees from both Tacoma Community College—where I also completed a certificate in Gender & Ethnic Studies—and Bates Technical College. I’m passionate about continuing education and especially love helping patients who experience dental anxiety feel comfortable and informed.
Susie,
Patient Care Coordinator
Susie was born and raised in Tacoma. She is enjoying her retirement, while keeping her mind sharp by learning about the dental industry. She hopes to be able to support her son when he achieves his dream of becoming an orthodontist. Working at Brooks Dental Studio is icing on the cake to achieve this.
Eleanor,
Rising Star
I'm currently a junior at SAMI high school, and have been going to Brooks dental studio since I had teeth. I love the marine world (especially fish) and observing them while scuba diving. Currently, I prepare trays and supplies for procedures for Dr. Jamie and the hygienists and keep the studio tidy and clean, but I'm hoping to do more in the future!
Jim Kinoshita,
Dentist
Jim grew up in Fife, WA and attended the University of Washington for his undergraduate and dental studies. He graduated from dental school in 1970, at the age of 23, and started a practice from scratch in his hometown of Fife, where he practiced until he retired in 2012. Dr. Jim enjoys staying active, walking daily and golfing 3-5 times per week. He has been helping out in our lab making appliances and mounting models for our patients since his retirement and is always popular in our studio, smiling and saying hello to everyone he sees.
